Katy Bouffard
- Youth Minister
LifeTeen Mass every
Sunday 6 pm
Followed by LIFE Night (usually ends by 8:45 pm)
What
is LifeTeen?
Started in 1985 by Fr. Dale Fushek,
pastor of St. Tim’s in Mesa, AZ, it is a
comprehensive youth ministry program for high school
teens that starts with a Mass every Sunday that
specifically appeals to teens. However, the
whole community is encouraged to come together with
these young people and celebrate the Mass.
Following the Mass is a gathering for teens and core
members (young adults) called LIFE Night. You can get more
information about LifeTeen by going to the
LifeTeen
web site. Or you can visit
St.
Mary's LifeTeen site.
What
is LIFE Night?
LIFE Night is a gathering after the Mass
that helps teens to better understand their faith in
a fun and social learning environment.
What
are Core Members?
Core Members are young adults (20 – 39,
just a guideline) that work with the teens.
They help to plan and run LIFE Nights and in general
are simply good Catholic role models for the
teens. Anyone who is interested in becoming a
core member should call the Rectory
(508-543-7726). We are always looking for more
Core Members to join us.
Pizza
& Prayer Night
This a weekly gathering were teens can
come to learn more about prayer, different forms of
prayer and how to incorporate it into their daily
lives. Meets every Monday Night upstairs in the Church
Sacristy.
